Talking to people about miniature painting is one thing; being interviewed and then having it be on the front page of the paper is something else. Feels kind of weird.

You can read the full article here:

The front page:

(P.S. The more the story is viewed, the more it moves towards the top on the home page of the website. Just saying :))

Heheh! Nice article Hinton... and, like Anders said, well done for dropping the company names into it!

I wish I\'d noticed the link to the article sooner.... I think I\'ve gone blind reading the pic of the cover above lol

We mini painters are already chick magnets. The problem is, a lot of us are polarized the wrong way, so it\'s like North to North... they push away.

This was really great to read. Thanks for putting yourself out there and helping the visibility of our twisted little world.

Thanks, everyone.

Apologies for the headaches I caused. I changed the post around so that the article link is at the top. Sorry about that.

Good of you to drop a few deserving company names in there as well! :D

Absolutely. I really wanted to get some of them in, although I wasn\'t sure how they were going to publish them.

I did mention CMoN, but it didn\'t make it into the article.

That\'s pretty much all I was thinking about when I agreed to the interview: just trying to increase the visibility of the hobby.

I read it to help it move to the top, but I refused to accept the cookie. Only like my own home baked cookies. :p

Yeah, but more importantly, I get a mention. I think that it\'s the mention of me that got got it on the front page.

Well it\'s a good article partly because it\'s respectful and doesn\'t go in with a \"what a weirdo\" approach... which can easily come out in some journos\' tone when writing a feature piece about a local weirdo ;)
