As for me being claustrophobic, I\'m used to paint in my backyard on a large table my mom bought me:). So normally I can paint for three hours or so.

I think there was a \"where do you paint\" poll, and there\'s lots of fora about lighting and tables etc. There was even a fizzled attempt at a \"painting lair\" forum with photos.
Anyway, lately I have been painting on the livingroom floor in front of the TV (when I paint, which is rare). I plan on attempting to paint on the desk in the office which was recently cleared of the computer when we got a special computer desk. Otherwise, since I store my paints in a toolbox, I paint wherever I happen to be when I\'ve got free time. I\'ve been known to paint during club meetings, sewing seminars, in hospital waiting rooms, I\'ve even set up on the corner of a table where strangers were playing Warhammer.
I\'ve tried painting outside in the past, but my paints dry up waaaay too fast. Plus then I have to deal with wind.
My ideal would be a glass-enclosed porch but that\'s a dream for a richer day.

I sit in the living room listening to tv and using the big windows in the doors for light and a fan for a slight breeze. I can\'t go outside, there\'s not much moisture because of the desert. There also seems to be dust and bugs in the air every day unless it just rained.

This topic comes up all the time. I think it\'s one part curiousity mixed with one part territorialism, liberally stirred with a dash of masochism.

I paint on an adjustable drafting table covered in two layers of corrogated cardboard with a desk lamp using a daylight bulb. I use primarily GW paint, but have a planned switch to Vellejo in the works. I use various inexpensive brands of artists brushes, mostly 0 and 3/0 in size. I also have a variety of modeling tools and putties on there. If Portent ever comes back up I may cut and paste the inventory of my table I did for one of the threads there for you. It\'s excessive in detail. ;)

If you want to see some pics of really dedicated modeling work spaces check out The Messy Workbench category of Starship Modeler\'s Reader\'s Gallery. They also have some excellent photo references on there for weathering and some good scratchbuilding articles.
