Independent painting competitions in the UK ????

Hi guys was just wondering if anyone can recommend any good independent painting comps in the uk particularly in the North and Yorkshire Regions.
I have been out of the independent circuit for a while after working fo GW and would just like to attend and se models other than GW in competition.

Euro Militare in Folkstone the same weekend as Games Day UK now has a Fantasy category. Other than that Game cons probably.

cool will check that one out there doesn\'t seem to be that many as I search around... Quite a few millitary ones..oh well any more guys?

Most Historical shows will have a \"fantasy\" element to them, but often the standard isn\'t very high.

Guess the main one would be Salute

The best one I could recommend is Salute, but it takes place in London around April time. It\'s a fantastic show, with a huge variety of trade stands and a damn good painting comp too.

It\'s organised by the London Warlords - click Salute 2007 for info on next year\'s show and stuff about what took place this year.

I know it\'s not until April, but I\'d highly recommend it for next year

I have flights already booked. Best way to get a cheap flight, book early.

Salute sounds good I have friends in London so will probably arrange to go down there.
