I\'m doing the Tewkesbury Medieval Faire this weekend. Upuntil monday the field we\'re supposed to be fighting on was under a foot of water. Putting away 300lbs of wet canvas tent. Oh joy. Well they dont call it Muddyevil for nothing :rolleyes:

Quite nice up here in Newcastle, some light showers but that\'s about the worst.
We seemed to have missed all the worst stuff.

Ahhh... currently 89F/32C with 28% humidity and a light breeze. So glad I moved away from the desert. And yes, when it snows here, I\'ll just curl up next to the fire and paint my little brains out. lol

Part of me is glad I live on a hill (flood plain is at the very bottom - yay!!) but instead I get the highlights of thunderstorms lol!

Lightning seems to love smacking into the car park and setting every car alarm off at once. Always time to settle down with a glass of something interesting and watch out the window when the clouds start turning green

We\'ve had about three weeks of rain with occassional sun. Biggest problem has been the wind which doesn\'t want to die down. Wife\'s charity is running a huge outdoor event on sunday so we\'re praying that the BBC forecast is right and that sunday will be dry...

I\'m hating the weather right now, I havent even been able to have a damn BBQ yet and we are in July :cussing: :flame: :cussing: ive got a PARTY on sat and if it rains i will cry. I\'m in worcester and its been flooded for most of the year so far. I had to sleep in the office the other day because I couldnt get home. It is normal for Brits to moan bout the waether but this is god damn stupid, and theres no way for me to escape to the sun damn company and its promoting me!!!!!

well my dear hillsbrough has to have a completley new pitch laid ready for 6 weeks time. apparently 12 foot of water isnt good for grass

I love the rain. In Australia, we\'ve had a drought for about the last 6 years or so, so the rain is simply beautiful to hear and see.
Guys, be thankful for the rain. because of the drought, some parts of Australia are on level 5 water restrictions. that basically means 1 shower every 2 days, no watering gardens at all, no washing your car, or anything like that.

I guess too much of any weather is bad. Too much heat is just as bad as too much rain. I can appreciate water - heck, I live in England - but people who are flooded loose so much and their houses are full of crap etc.

At least with heat, it\'s just hot indoors - except when those brush fires start I guess :rolleyes:

No way, I did the founddation in art and design at chesterfield too... Finished in \'94.
Focused on painting, and did a bit of print making, great course, really enjoyed it. Did you go to Paris and wales on the field trips? who are you both? Maybe I knew you back then.. This was me at about that time:

The photos of Dan and James are kinda crappy, they were taken at some festival like the others, but James was tall and skinny like myself, and had long curly brown hair , Dan was a regular sized guy, Do you remember any of these people?

@Alberto, where abouts in Spain are you?here in Valencia, pushing 36ºc, too hot, too humid. Off to the UK for the weekend tomorrow, Clouds and rain, bring it on.

I actually started the 93/94 year but had to leave after 3 weeks and defer to the following year. So I guess for a short time we were there at the same time, though I only knew the people in the introductary 3 week block. Small world, though, ain\'t it? The trip in 94/95 was to Prague; but I was still suffering from my illness and was unable to go. :cry:

Did you go on the 3 day thing in the summer before the year started? I spoke to some people there, and I seem to recall a Nina and those trousers of yours look familiar. :D

@rogerbunting, I think so, I vaguely remember some induction type thing.
Nina was there for two years anyway, so she\'d have been there at the same time as you.

I was there a bit earlier than 94... I finished in 89 I think. I went to Sheffield for Graphic Design HND then Bradford for Fine Art degree after.... jst in case you went to the same lol :)

Chesterfield was a great laugh!
