Don\'t really remember where this came from but there is a book where there are 2 races in the world, one human, the other look exactly like humans but evolved from lizards instead of mammals.
It\'s called \"convergent evolution\", but that\'s pretty freaking convergent. Real examples are more like \"bird wings evolved from forelimbs, so did bat wings\". There are some neat books by Harry Harrison where early humans live alongside (bio)technologically advanced *humanoid* dinosaurs, which walk erect on two legs, but still look very much like reptiles. I guess the old Rafm(?) \"reptiliads\" or the new GW reptile-type dudes are similar to that idea.
