Hi,
I\'d just liek to say first that anything posted here is at risk of being stolen by me....................

Ok

I have recently begun work on my Golden Demon Entry this year. This year i will only be entering the 40k Squad category and for it i am painting an Inquisitorial squad. That\'s all good but I cannot decide on my inquistor. So, I NEED YOU, (finger stabs accusingly at you through the screen), if you ahve had an idea for an inquistor, or just something that would look good and/or cool, here is your chance to possibly even see it winning an award - well.............

I am painting them very dark to match the background of the 40k universe. Now please, fire away!

I agree with Sturmhalo, the old Inquisitor terminator is really nice, here\'s a link to a painted one:

I used a new grey knight model for my Inquisitor, he has a sword and i modeled on a dagger and a cloak with some putty, hes pretty sweet looking, unfortunately im lacking in a digital camera sorry :(

if you like to scuplt, you can also take a look to the inquisitor book, a good idea is to make one of those minis in 28mm, Eisenhorn is a good choice, i did that with my actual entry for the spanish GD :)

Why not go the other way and do a corrupted/traitor Inquisitor? I mean, Eisenhorn isn\'t Mr. Clean what with Cherubal and such... The cover of Malleus is a good start:

Hope this helps!

More specifics?

Some more info would help. What Ordo will he/she be? Is it a Witch Hunter? Those can look very cool when done with a dark and foreboding touch. Male or female? I\'d go male if I were you. Lots of folks tend to make females thinking that they\'re being original.

For the retinue, the penitent Engine is an awesome model.

If you like Space Marines, do a Deathwatch chapter Marine from the Imperial fists. The Black/Yellow combination would look nice.

The only reason I\'d steer you away from the older terminator some folks are suggesting is that the older models tend to be stiffer and more cartoony. If you want someone with augmetics, go with an Iron Hands Iron Father fig.

Lots of Librarian figs have lots of extra stuff on them to make them interesting inquisitors.

Give a few more specifics and I can maybe suggest more stuff.

Good luck.

Dan

p.s. I\'m sure you know this, but conversions and free-hand painting on the fig are what wins GD\'s when all else is equal. Keep that in mind when thinking about your piece.
