Edit: I changed my mind again and put a picture with less different angles and better JPG compression. Oh and majestic0110 helped me find my WIP thread and tought me the secret art of using the search function.

a lovely paintjob. i feel it is marred by two things though, the dark lines running down the side of his nose are too thick and some of the dark lines on the cloak are the same (and some of them seem too dark)

i would also be tempted to lose the sigmar thing on his head and replace it with an ]I[ symbol. despite the cranial plug and the wires on the hammer he still doesn\'t quite feel 40k imo. i can\'t think of an obvious way to change it though

Thanks for the feedback! :D

I\'ll have to agree with most of your comments. I always ended up doing too litle shading and trying to avoid that I ended up doing too much shading in this mini. I am not happy with the red myself.

The face looks better in real life though and the shading doesn\'t look so over the top. I like how it turned out since it\'s only my second attempt at painting flesh to a decent level.

The Sigmar symbol was pure lazines which I tried to justify by saying that it is a symbol from his home planet. Lame excuse; I am just abusing the variety of the 40k universe as an excuse for my lazyness. lol

I guess I should have done some more conversion work as well. Again it was due to lazyness. I just wanted to start painting and had run out of ideas.

The part that I am realy pleased with is the metalics which turned out pretty good. That was the purpose of this mini; I wanted to improve my metalics and this mini seemed ideal with all that metal armour. Sadly some of the glazes don\'t show well in the pics. Hopefully by the end of the summer I will have enough space and money for a light tent and a set lights and I\'ll try to improve my photography skills.

There\'s also something a bit irrelevant I\'d like to ask. I tried to find my WIP thread for this mini and I can\'t find the Search function of the forum. Could someone help me here?

get a 9 from me ! Great job, I agree with what Freak said about the dark lines though. Very good work though, especially with such a close up photo! I agree with you about the metallics, I think they work really well!
To find the search function : Go to the main forum page (or any page for that matter) and at the top left is MEMBER LIST | SEARCH | FAQ ----its just below the coolminiornot banner.

P.S. HERE is a link to your thread - saved you the time searching for it lol

Thanks for the link. I thought I would never see my thread again. lol

And now that I\'ve located the search function (with.....just a bit of help) I\'m officially a forum veteran. :D

First off, FANTASTIC photography.

It\'s as if I am holding it in my hand, looking at it.

I like the bold shading, it gives it a real graphic novel appearance.

Thanks a lot supervike! iI still don\'t like my photography though. Most of the glazes are washed out on the photo and the metalics look flatter than they are in real life. The only photo I like is the one showing the face from the side.

I\'ll have to start experimenting with a light tent when I have the space and the time for it. I\'ll try and borrow a friend\'s DSLR some time as well and see if it makes any difference.

Oh, so, you say your photography is going to get BETTER?

Damn! I\'d be happy to get just one picture that was in focus!
