The only thing that worries me about this one (unless it has changed) is that they were aiming for a G rating.
In today\'s climate...how completely dull is that movie going to have to be to get a G rating?

Yeah, and it was also rated PG. For a G rating there would have been pretty much no fights, no robots, no \'violence\'...still think it would have been as much fun? 
I just don\'t see how a property that\'s as full of exploding stuff as Speed Racer is could be done justice in a G rated movie.

I very much doubt it. Perhaps in the past, but nowadays? Nah.
For that matter...can anyone tell me the last *major* release that was rated G?
*edit* I, of course, am speaking only from my own impressions. I have no idea how the MPAA actually comes up with the ratings it does, though I generally find great amusement in reading the little things like \'fantasy violence\' or \'some scary images\' that the slap on various films.

given how much fighting there was in the trailer i doubt they are aiming at \"G\" ratings.
well i love speed racer. at least i did once apon a time. they seem to have the characters down but the racing is the modern crap they keep making.
it\'s weird how they made a real mach 5 only to CG it in film.
