Introduction and first post

Dear friends,

I am posting here for the first time, and what a pleasure it is.

I gave up painting around 10 years ago and haven't touched a brush until last week. Having been recently divorced (no violins please :) ) I decided to get back into games and painting again.

My first post here is http://www.coolminiornot.com/pics/pics16/img509e76a1c7a25.jpg

Although I'm not really sure how to use the forum or voting links yet (I'm sure I'll work it out!)

Hopefully with the next model I paint I'll also get a decent camera etc.

All thoughts/feedback and general hellos would be most appreciated.

Wotcha. :beerwave:

Mini looks nice, good use of browns for realism and to tie it all together. Though yeah, camera-work leaves room for improvement eh.

You'll probably find your painting bursts through your previous plateau, taking it up again. All the gumph in the articles section and sticky thread certainly help the skilsl stretch in new directions.

Thanks! Yes, just started reading up on cameras and lights etc...seems as important as the painting itself!

Looks nice. Took me about three months to get semi decent photos even with all the help. Then again I am slow;). Welcome aboard!

Howdyhowdy :) welcome to the forums. The mini looks nice, especially for a first-one-back, and while the photo could use some work, it gets the job done. Don't sweat the photo stuff - it'll come with a little reading and practice. Welcome back to mini painting. Remember - we do this for fun, so don't stress about it. (advice, how to get better, etc, etc) :)
