IP colour recomendation

Hi folks,

I am currently working on my IP entry, the theme being \" The colour purple. \"

The model I\'m using, is the alchemist from the Helldorado range

Obviously, the main colour is purple, with the turban and boots an off-white and a gold trim around the cloak.
Could you guys please recommend a colour for the curling pipes at the front?

God I love Hell Dorado stuff! Nice fig choice!

I am not at all joking when I say I would do it ALL purple. I mean like a Black and White photo only done from dark to near white purple. That\'s just me. If you can do that well I think you\'d theme out tops and get some slick scores.

That\'s just me. Failing that I\'d grab an online color wheel and look up the complimentary colors maybe?

Their figs are good aren\'t they, I\'ve got the Don Quichotte model just begging me to paint him!

According to the colour wheel, I should use yellow..... not sure ???

yes you should use yellows....also consider using a warmer yellow to really make the area stick out.

oh and didnt you hear they changed the theme to the color orange just five minutes ago....yeah ummmm thats it and you need to turn your entry in today at 4:30. yep straight from supervike.

I just had a play on Adobe Kuler, as it\'s a quick and easy way to check out colour combos and save them.
My id is boristfrog on there if you want to see any of my purple themes. I did 3 different types, a standard purple, a bluer one and a reder one.

Here\'s a pic I made from some screenshots of themes based on the standard purple, to give an idea of colours other than just yellow you can use. Hope it makes some sense.

Also go check out the galleries on WYRD for the IP contest (mine is there, knock on wood!) for some idea of what other people are entering. I used a lot of yellow on mine as well. I may not advance, but I learned a lot and had fun painting mine!
