That better be an Ultimates Movie.
Damn I love those Ultimates-Comics...so many crazy guys that call themselves \"heroes\"!?
Thor seems to be the only sane one in there, allthough all think he\'s the insane.

If you haven\'t read those comics you really should. Great Story!

I saw the plains for the \'War Machine\' in the credits, did anyone else see any of the other verisons of the base armor?

And was any one else thinking at the end of credit WTF are they thinking?

Well you know War Machine is coming in a sequel when Terrance Howard looks at the suit and say\'s another time or later or something like that plus in all the interviews with him he is quite open to talking about the up coming sequels where he will get to play War Machine.

As to the end of the Movie, well that is the only logiocal progression of the story line especially since RD.jr as Tony Stark makes a Cameo in the Hulk movie.

As for other Marvel Movies, Captain America is in production for a 2009 release and I believe Thor is in Pre Production.

Two Thumbs Up!!! For this one. I agree with most people about this being a fabulous comic-movie translation and Downey is absolutely perfect as Tony Stark.

I jsutread, this is the first Marvel comic movie released by Marvel Studios, not another big studio who bought the rights. Could this be the harbinger of really good comic book movies? I hope so.

World wide take this weekend - total at $201 million!

Yeah Baby!!!

Also from the associated press. Looks like a great line up.

Marvel mines more precious metal with `Iron Man 2\'

LOS ANGELES (AP) — This weekend was just the beginning of Hollywood\'s Iron age.
Marvel Studios announced Monday it will release \"Iron Man 2\" on April 30, 2010, following the success of the first in the comic-book franchise, which pulled in $104.2 million domestically since opening last Thursday and $201 million worldwide.
Four other films based on Marvel superheroes also were announced: \"Thor,\" due out June 4, 2010; \"The First Avenger: Captain America,\" May 6, 2011; \"The Avengers,\" July 2011; and \"Ant-Man,\" which is in development but has no release date.
Marvel also has \"The Incredible Hulk,\" starring Edward Norton, coming out this June 13 from Universal Studios.
Just as Downey\'s character, Tony Stark, makes an appearance in next month\'s \"The Incredible Hulk,\" the Hulk could turn up in \"Iron Man 2,\" Marvel Studios Chairman David Maisel said during a conference call to discuss the company\'s earnings. And \"The Avengers\" consists of a rotating roster of Marvel heroes — including original members Iron Man, the Hulk, Ant-Man and Thor — that could see the return of virtually any of the franchise\'s characters.
\"In controlling our destiny, we can control where the characters are and we can have our movies connect and be in the same universe,\" Maisel said.
\"Iron Man\" was the first film financed by Marvel, which previously licensed its superheroes to Hollywood studios for such hits as the \"Spider-Man,\" \"X-men\" and \"Fantastic Four\" flicks.
Seeking more creative control and a bigger cut of the receipts, Marvel plans to make future films itself and hire studios to distribute them for a fee.
Starring Robert Downey Jr. as a billionaire weapons designer who builds himself a high-tech metal suit to fight bad guys, \"Iron Man\" exceeded box-office expectations, coming in second only to the first \"Spider-Man\" for debuts among non-sequels.

I have just got back from seeing Ironman and it was AWESOME i made sure i stayed after the credits to see .... hehe, but yea there\'s a real slew of comic book films coming out, Ironman/Tony Stark will make an appearance in the next \'Hulk\' movie. And as previously mentioned the Ironman sequel has been planned and a third hoping to follow that, from what i know terrence howard will have more of a role in the second film as the silver suit we see in the first one is brought into action. Its looking a good spell for comic book fans, though tbh unless thor and captain america WOW me to the point i wet myself i wont hype them, as i dont really like them too much.

BUT ironman was awesome and the film solidifies him as my all time favourite EVER superhero

While I liked the movie I really wanted some more action scenes. Let\'s face it, all I want from a superhero movie is the hero in question to decimate bad guys with his super powers for 2 hours.

Bit slow, so DFD got the post up first about the schedual of \"avengers\" movies coming out. Not only will Downey jr. appear in a cameo in the Hulk flick but the idea is also to have him or Norton appear in cameo in the Cap America and thor movie. The intention is to keep the same actors for all of the avenger tie in movies to keep a cohesive feel unlike say the Batman movies that had a different actor in almost each film. Personally i think this was the best comic based movie yet that i have seen.

The iron Man cast had to sign a 3 picture deal with the studio from what Downey said in an interview i saw. Plus Marvel straight up said they set up the movie where if they chose not to do other Iron Man movies they could make Warmachine movies instead.
