Is it me or do Space Marines suck?

I seems to me that whenever something gets widley popular there is always a group of people that dislike it for that sole reason. Space Marines are like the Pop music of Warhammer. (if you get what i\'m saying)

The latter includes some of the lamest chapter ideas I\'ve ever seen, including the \"Space Sharks\":

AKA \"We have a \'Finding Nemo\' character on our armor because our Artificers are three-year-olds\"

the \"Minotaurs\":

AKA the \"Walking Road Signs\"

And last but not least the \"Fire Hawks\":

AKA the \"Riced-up Honda Civics with nitro\". Sheesh. They should have obviously used the Color Scheme Tester first

@NSA - Um, the Space Sharks chapter is a very old one mate. If i\'m not mistaken [and i don\'t think i am] all those chapter names and colour schemes are from the Rogue Trader era...

I like space marines. You have little character expression, and have to work with poses instead. An area easily forgotten. They are somekind of basefigure that you can return and practice techiques on.

But they can indeed get a bit boring.

I don\'t mind the look of SM\'s that much, they can be a bit static. My only real complaint with them, generally speaking, is that they are boring, they have no character, other than the Biggies. I do like the Chaos Space Marines because even the R&F seem to have character.
