most of what we do is craftsmenship.

artists who knock out scenic paintings, charicatures and portraits are showing the craftsmenship skills.

the art side is when they produce a pice of work that gives real atmosphere, where they are not painting what they sea, but what they wish people to see and feel.

(and i\'m not on about blobs of semen on a brick or splodges of paint thrown on a canvas)

the art in our hobby is the creating of a story within a piece, be it vignette or diorama.
to tell a story that also makes individuals feel various emotions.
also the sculpting, pure creation, giving the figure life through movement and emotion.

hope i don\'t sound to high and mighty and up myself, it\'s just how i see it.
(i also struggle to get what i realy mean across in type)

I still say it aint art. It\'s posh paint-by-numbers!!

Now if we\'re talking about the best sculptors out there - some of the guys who work for Andrea, Kev White or Tom Meier, then ok. Their stuff will still never be classed as Art mind. They\'d have to do something on a much grander scale...

sorry scott but those paintings look shite! they don\'t seem to portray anything (as you said, probably me being thick) and i don\'t even find them aesthetically pleasing. now this is art:
