Is my Compressor Working Correctly?

I have a tanked compressor (Bartsharp AC02) and I usually airbrush at around 20-25 psi. I get around 15 seconds of air flow before the compressor kicks in. In order for the tank to refill I have to stop working for a minute or so. Is this right? If I carry on working the compressor is running constantly. Should the compressor be filling the tank faster than I use up what’s in there?

that'd not really good.
The compressor I have works like this:
- fills up the tank if it dropped below a certain level (has a bit of a leak, so even a full tank goes empty in a week if not used)
- while I airbrush the motor stops, after a certain time (about half a minute on the psi I use most often) it goes under the threshold, the motor kicks in and refills the tank in a few seconds (even during I still work with the AB)
- the previous cycle repeats until I stop using it
- as I have time to use the AB only on weekends I leave it there slowly emptying, so after the week the AB session starts with the tank filling part.
