Is there maximum uploading image length?

Subj. I have problems with uploading 8500 pixels - length image. Is this right, or it is a bug? Can it be fixed then? Thanks for help.

there is no maximum length that i am aware of. there is , however, a maximum file size which may apply ("1024kb (1 meg) is the maximum file size." - FAQ)

i`m remember that, my file is 950 kb
