CMONCON - Some thoughts

We could go to the time and effort of setting up our own convention - If you have never done that, you have no idea of the work involved (I still have the physical and emotional scars from my days with Fandom), or we could take a page from our collegues in good old Blighty and hijack someone elses event - see the who\'s going to gameday threads - I would vote for the latter, and being somewhat Texocentric (is that a word?) would also suggest the longest running convention put on by a university gaming group - AGGIECON - the advantage to using AGGIECON is that we have unitil March of 2004 to get everything hammered out about the takeover (and it occurs about 100 miles from where I live )

yeah the irish stuff is so different you would hardly believe it. apparently, it doesn\'t travel too well (not even over the tiny stretch of water over to england). thats why (being somerset born and bred) i tend to drink strongbow. or brains (a wales based brewery that makes some excellent bitter). trouble is strongbow gives you the WORST hangover. so i can see why tuubje doesn\'t like drinking too much of the stuff!

Just getting over my cousin\'s wedding yesterday, and I\'m finding hard to even look at the screen here without feeling queasy...13hrs of family and friends and booze. I hurt all over .

I go with the Cardiff option simply because we have plans in place to form the Cardiff Branch as soon as Sturmhalo gets here. Meeting up in Dempseys next month I hope and going to raise a glass to one and all...so it remains for me to request the presence of Finn and Beelzebrush to join in with Freakinacage, Sturmhalo and me, and even Mr Marbo if he\'s still alive! You out there Marbo?

Cardiff Branch 1st Lodge top secret organisation stuff...we\'ll also have UncleHex here and maybe, just maybe, we\'ll enroll those lovely guys at Harbinger once the bloody thing is released lol.
