how\'s this for cute..... my son uberdave comes into the room the other night and asks if he can play ninja turtles with mommy. so mommy starts playing and the first thing he says is ....ok i am daddy splinter.... \"ok mikey you guys good here...good i\'m going to go paint miniatures.....be good.\" my wife stops and looks up at me.....i look up from my latest issue of white dwarf and start laughing.... my wife says \"is it obsessive yet?\" i say \"of course not, he knows that i always check before disapearing for 4 hours.\"

In Chemistry the teacher is always talking about metals and non-metals, so I naturally raise my hand and describe why non-metals are starting to lose their novelty.. and there are the new students who haven\'t heard of this non-metal phenomenom!

Smart group. There\'s nothing \"wrong\" with 3.5. Certainly not so much they need a completely new game system. WOTC can chew a fatty if they think I\'m buying all new rulebooks.

Well, lets see - after 30 odd years of doing this I have 300 or so pounds of lead unpainted or wip, have painted minis in a combat zone, and cant look at things without trying to figure out either how to model them in scale or what I could use them for scratchbuilding. So I would say it is my life.
depends on where i am...in my house it\'s all minis...i don\'t even have a bedroom, just a room full of metal...i have a big couch, what do i need a bed for...
when i\'m out on the street, i\'m just enjoyin\' nature and boppin\' to my ipod...
when i\'m in a shop, or the bank, or the post office i\'m lookin\' at women...
so it\'s not an obsession, but it is my life...it\'s how i make a livin\' and it\'s a great passion, but i would rather get laid than paint any day...it just pisses off my girlfriend that i can\'t stay the night \'cause i gotta go home and paint...i work from about 8pm \'til 4am...that\'s my eight hour day...i can take a lunch break in there somewhere to get some action, but then i have to get back at the minis...my woman appreciates my art, but not my schedule... i\'m just glad that the minis can\'t get jealous and stab me in my sleep!!!

Almost every large flat surface in my house is covered either in my vast collection of junk or my daughters equally vast collection of toys ( my poor Mrs hasn\'t really got any junk of her own as she prefers her horses). So the one last place left is the double bed which occasionally gets used as a staging ground for army mustering before I pack them away to take to the club or where ever. If I don\'t do a good enough job of tidying them away there is a very real possibility that I will get stabbed in my sleep (or booted up the backside if the Mrs happens to discover them first)

I think you\'ll be able to tell when your too obsessed.
Firstly : In the morning, you\'ll spray yourself white and paint your clothes on.
Second : You\'ll find yourself stoping still in the middle of the street to strike a herioc pose.
Third : When you get home you\'ll have a nice warm bath or turps to wash away the paint.
Finally : You\'ll reapeat this process every day
