Is this worth a 6.7?

Well,
At only 24 votes it wont have settled down to a reliable score at the moment.
But at 6.7 I would say it\'s right on the money as I would hesitate between 6 and 7 myself. It looks a bit unfinished in some areas, but others are quite nice. The blue and bronze is reasonably well done, but the silver looks unfinished and needs more attention. There are also visible mould lines which automatically cost one or two points in my mind. On the other hand, it is a very sharp and big picture which I know shows up every little fault.

Hard to say because some of it is clearly around 7.5ish whilst other areas don\'t seem finished. The silver metal work seems like it needs a bit more work and possibly the bronze (although not nearly as much). The other problem is that you can see a couple of mould lines. I think if it was fully finished it would rate 7.5

I agree with the above, I like the blue, (maybe the paint is a little thick) but the metal and especially the silver hammer(?) need more washes and highlights. Because metal easily look a little bit messy in pics, at least compared to NMM, I guess this is a great piece irl. I gave it a seven.

I think that 6.7 to 7.1,7.2 is a fair place for this mini. I have done this one and it is not easy, the blue is very well done something that I struggled with on mine and the Bronze/ Gold metals look nice too.
I would say that possibly the grey metals need more plus a shot of the back would also be nice as there is a lot of detail to be seen there. I gave it a 7 but with just a little more work would make 8 for me.

I hate friggin\' mold lines, a body can never see them until you shoot the darn thing. They are very minor IMO

Second time writing this post now, damn back buttons...
Thos of you who thik the silver is underworked are correct. I did this as a commission for a gaming opponent along with the rest of the battlegroup and for about €70. So i nmade a trade off for a quicker completion time and some areas got less attention than others. The metallics in particular. Id probably do more on them if i did them again though.
The client was very happy with the work and getting more done. They also look great on the table so they pass the two real acid tests.
I can\'t believe i called it a warcijack though. Sounds like a Polish one or something. i\'m gonna fix the title so it actually shows up if someone searches for warjacks.

Those blues are very nice. I think the metals are a little thick and as you say, rushed and unfinished. I wouldn\'t want to rate a full 7 because of that, but then it is clearly a 6 at the least... so 6.7 sounds fair to me. If the metals were lined (around the studs is a big one for me) then 7 for sure...

Hrm, guess I\'m going against the trend then, because I\'d say it\'s firmly in the low 6.0\'s. As said, the blues are nice, which is what takes it above \"table top\" for me. However the lack of apparent finishing on the metallics and the mold line keeps it locked in the 6.0\'s.
A smoke/black wash and strong highlights on the metals would help a lot. I\'d also suggest scraping that mold line off and repainting the head of the hammer. Both those things would bump it up to a 7ish depending on how well executed.
Weathering the blue with a rust colour would take it up even further than that.

I agree with E-Arkham. I voted 6 on this mainly because one cannot vote decimal points. If I could I would of voted a litttle higher.
I understand that Palocles can not go back and fix the problem area\'s. But if he could it could easily be 8+.
The bigest factor is that the client is happy with it. And by all accounts it sounds that way.

The score is as the score does....a nice piece and you get the feeling Palocles (sp?) could do better from his nice little paragraph up there ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^

Ah, a commission piece. Having done a few of those myself, I fully understand the \"less than complete\" syndrome of just getting it done, and trying to keep the time spent on it to be worth what you\'re being paid for it.
Just for the record, I did vote a 7 on this when I initially saw it (well before this thread, I make sure to check new PP minis daily). Mostly, that was because the average at the time was around a 6.5 or so, and I felt it should be closer to 7.
These damn \'jacks are intimidating paintjobs, too. I still have my Cryx box waiting for my brushes. Hm. Maybe I\'ll hit them today, since I have nothing better to do after finishing school...

as everyone else has said - a smoke wash, or armour wash over the mettallics would make a huge difference, and probably wouldn\'t have taken more than 5 minutes to do.
Even with deadlines, I honestly can\'t see how you would not be able to do such a small, but worthwhile extra step to finish the job.???
