It just isn\'t my day.

I started my first WIP thread, and got some replies (thanks guys) which I put to work right away, and was very much looking forward to getting back to it tonight.

Then I nearly got my right index finger sliced off at work, today. Bleah. No permanent damage was done, luckily, but I needed stitches, and the bandage over the stitches has seriously hindered my ability to move the finger at all.

Right now, the freezing hasn\'t even worn off, so even typing is still a royal pain, and it\'s going to be a couple of days before I can really get back to it, at least.

When it wears off, I really hope I\'ll be able to use the middle finger to hold the brush well enough to get back to it. My motivation is high, and I don\'t want to lose it.

Yes, I\'m fine, Lizcam. Thank you for asking.

I\'m sorry, Matty1001, but there isn\'t much to take a picture of. Just a bandage covering the injury.

The stitches come out in 7 days. Hopefully I\'ll be able to paint before that, though.

heres your chance to flip off as many people that you want. Just tell them you can\'t help its the bandage.:innocent:

Ah, the sympathy you\'re all exuding is underwhelming. :D

No, I can\'t draw. Apparently, I can\'t even take a picture, tonight. I tried to take pictures of my WIP from multiple angles to post, and for reasons beyond my understanding, using the same lights, the same background, and everything, they\'re all coming out very dark and don\'t show the work I got done last night at all well.

Still, the freezing is pretty much worn off, and I have the annoying stinging sensation to enjoy all night.

If you work with blades of any sort, make sure you hold them properly. That\'s my advice for the day.

Funny how things change with age. When I was young, I\'d get cut and wail over the pain. A while back I sliced my hand WIDE OPEN.......BIG cut and instantly, the first thought that went thru my head was \'oh man is this going to cost a lot\'.
