Sadly yes.

Mike Brooks who owned and ran Ainsty Died of Stomach or Bowel Cancer in 2006.


However Old Crow bought up the molds and are intending to continue the lines Mike created.

Yeah, Ainsty sold off about a year ago to Old Crow miniatures:

All the products are still there, and I got excellent service from Jez, the owner.

Also check out the Old Crow line, I\'ve several of his Sci-fi vehicles...and they are wonderfully cast...no air bubbles!

But I can second Jim\'s comments about Old Crow. Excellenct service and help. Also very good at updating me about Mike Brooks.

I didn\'t know Mike all that well. But just well enough to stand and have a chat with at Shows and say hi to his wife and occasionally their West Highland terrier(s).
He was a man with a very pleasant manner and was quite willing to \"Put himself out\" to help a customer or Potential customer.
