One of the featured auctions this morning is for a copy of the CMoN annual 2003 link. OK so it\'s fairly relevant with this being the CMoN site and all, but it\'s not a mini and I\'m fairly certain the guy selling it didn\'t freehand the entire thing. Since when did CMoN become a site where you can pimp any old thing you\'re flogging on Ebay? They\'ll be putting auctions for paints and brushes up there next.


What really gets me is that it has a score of 7.8 :mad:


Maybe I just got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning.

Yeah, I think there is a fine line, and we keep crossing it.

Not sure how it got through, but I deleted the pic, they\'ll have to take up losing their Ebay credits with Borg.

I didn\'t read the rules but I would have thought it was ok as it\'s certainly CMON and mini related. meh - shows how much I know.

On a related subject... sort of...

I\'m not planning on doing so (ever) but if I were to put up for auction one of the minis I have that was painted by someone else, would that be possible?

I would think I would have to add the mini to my gallery and link back to the original artist somehow but it\'s a bit of a grey area.

Like I said, mine aren\'t going to be for sale/auction but I\'m just curious.

i\'ve seen plenty of people sell the works of other artists...the good guys put a credit to the painter, and an explanation about takin\' the pic down after the sale...

the knob ends try to pass \'em off as their own, and usually get told off by the locals...

We\'ve had peopel resell our minis on ebay. As long as they mention who painted it, I don\'t mind.

As far as posting it to CMON, I would say, insert a picture into a forum thread with a link to the auction, but I would frown on someone else posting one of my minis in their own gallery.

Whoops just seen this.

Well to be honest it I approved it.

My rationale was that It\'s the CMON annual and this being CMON it might be a better marketplace for advertisement. (There being a number of people I know who would love to get their hands on a copy.)
I was going to keep an eye on the Auction and \"Pull It\" once it was sold.

But hey no big deal.
