It\'s Official: eBay is run by idiots....

Okay, so I see that they\'ve made a Cthulhu Plush on sme store. I decide to look on eBay for a deal on said plush, I find one reasonably priced, but the picture is this for a description. Which leads me to believe that the people on eBay are IDIOTS!!!!

They cancel any pornographic auctions or almost any kind of nudity. They\'ve repeatedly hit Angela\'s minis she wanted to sell, and for no reason! But Toyzz.com gets away with this, on almost every ITEM?!?! I mean, sure, Cthulhu is adult, but Superman, Toy Story, Peanuts Characters? We seem to get so much sass when we dare to put up a nude figure on eBay, but live well endowed girls is okay to sell things? The last time I saw something advertised like that, it envolved the words \"Blondes\", \"College\" and \"Wild\", but not necessarily in that order....

I guess the excuse from e-bay would be that she is fully clothed where the itty bitty pieces of lead are topless and therefore could lead to purient uses. Or something like that.

Lordy! Did she pay for those?? I didn\'t know they came in that size. What is that a DDD??

Thanks for the note of support Chrispy. I see Nailpainter\'s naked lady auctions go on, with no cancellation problems, and the thought of my stuff being cancelled last year, gets me quite riled. :flame:

Double standard for sure! Buggers!

BTW I have three Cthulhu plushes. One big green one like that graces our gaming room. One little green one for my youngest son (20 months old), and one little silver and black one for my silver and black truck. The local games store down here gets them in. They had Cthulhu with bermuda shirts and even a Santa Cthulhu, beard and all!!

It\'s creepy to hear one\'s kid say, \"Mommy, Can Cthulhu come to preschool with me for show and tell?\"lol

BTW have any scantily clad beefy males been seen trying to model items for ebay? Now that I wouldn\'t mind seeing. ;)

:innocent:

The one on the left - while the one on the right may be a toy of some sort, I suspect that it may be a bit more expensive than the small green one. lol

Hahah! One is a hideous unnatural beast that causes madness by merely glancing at it, and the other is a plush cthulhu.

Not pretty. I think that if you are going to try to use a model to sell a product based on looks, you should aim for a more flattering photo - or do a reshoot.

I\'m beefy.. but\'s it\'s more of that \"Fat gives the meat better flavor\" beefy ;) I\'m well marbelized ;)

Honestly.. I\'ve seen it in the past.. but it\'s not as prevelant as using females to market typical \"geek\" items.

After looking at Toyzz website, they have a couple of nice \"brush holders\" - wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more :innocent:

That\'s nothing

You should see who they got modeling chainmail bikinis on there. I\'m afraid to post a link, in fear of being called a perv for the 90th time. I swear i only deserved the last 20 times.

@Chrispy, SASS! your in danger of getting a coffin dodger status 30 yrs early with that kind of talk mister (Texas sun will do that to you).

Ye, Ha, Photoshop!

Actually, I think that photo is unnatural in more ways than one. Looks like those super-sized knockers have been digitally enhanced.

On another note, I guess it is a good thing that I saw this message. I just finished painting one of those obscene topless figs. I guess if I want to sell it, I\'d better list it in the porno section of Ebay. Maybe I\'ll get more money that way. lol

Is anybody else getting a certain deja vu feeling about this thread???

Seems to \"feel\" a lot like a very hot one not very long ago:rolleyes:

Sadly, these aren\'t even exposed. Even less of a reason for the fuss. :D

tis odd....

This marketing craze is something else.

I mean, I was visiting my normal very nasty XXX porn site, but all the \'nekkid\' women were being help up by giant plush toys of strange lovecraftian design.

I fear for the future.

(parts of this post may be imagined, made up, and otherwised \'enhanced\' to have a humorous effect*)

*The \'humorous effect\' does not necessarily mean funnylollollollol

Actually, who\'d have thunk that using unnaturally endowed women could help sales of any product? I sure hope the beer and car companies don\'t stumble over this little marketing gem!!
