I\'ve always liked the word: soliloquize - talking to yourself, thinking aloud
I have a record (can\'t remember by whom) with a run-out groove reading \"Don\'t interrupt me while I\'m soliloquizing!\". I\'ve always remembered that word since I got that record. Don\'t think I\'ve used it in a sentence though!

Sesquipedalian - (prone to or tending to use long words) has always had particular resonance with me for the following reason.
When I left university and jobs were scarce (damn you Thatcher!) I got a job delivering pies and the like around Leeds.
I remember going into one shop and obviously used a word in my conversation with the owner that caused a workman at the side of me to remark;
\"That\'s a long word for someone like you.\" ( )
Which prompted the reply;
\"Yes, you\'ll find I\'m quite sesquipedalian when I try!\"

I had something like that happen to me back when I worked in TV. I was playing around with one of the receivers when I came across a new satellite. I checked it out and changed the receiver to something else. 15 minutes later one of the head guys comes in and says they need to find a new satellite. It was the same satellite that I was on earlier. I went in and punched in the coordinates and saved the day. I then said, \"Serendipity baby!\" One of my co-workers said, \"Do you even know how to spell that?\" I said, \"What? Do I need to spell it for you too?\" I don’t think he caught on that I turned his insult back onto him.
