That Stug is in fantastic condition who would have thought that being in a bog it would have come out that pristine a condition???

I knew a guy who did field work for an archive. Some famous early 20th century author had died and left everything to his daughter. One day she decided to donate all of his correspondence to the university. The author had just dumped all of his letters in a barn on his property and the field archivist had to go to the barn and pick through and sort a pile of letters that was literally 8 feet tall. Underneath he actually found a mint condition model T atuomobile.

Wow thats amazing I know they find WWII bombs and stuff like this every month here in Germany but a tank - this is simply crazy!! I love WWII armor - I heared they found a russian T-26 in a swamp in pripjet some time ago. Who knows what other treasures there are still to be found on the old battlefields.

Bogs are actually the best place to preserve anything! The mixture of minerals and the fact that its practically airtight means things can survive for centuries :yes:
I cant\' remeber where this was, but there was an ancient mummified corpse found in a bog dubbed the tollund man. perfectly preserved throughout the ages...Bronze age I think!

Yeah. I know the guy. Well the mummified guy you were talking about. I can\'t remember the actual name of dates. I though he was in the 1300s England.
