Hairy wild boar???

I thought there WERE no boar left in the wild ???
We killed them, bears and wolves years ago. I say \"we\", but I blame Highbulp Billy and his secret research into boars, bears and wolves.
My children have gone without furs for 3 winters you swine! ... You\'re lucky we have a nice cave.

IIRC it only takes one generation for pigs to turn feral when reintroduced to the wild. I have read such things before, but cannot attest to the accuracy.
According to one scientist it takes around 3 months for a \"Domesticated Pig\" to become completely Feral and revert to Wild Boar.
AND the problem is that having been domesticated they are not as afraid of Humans as Naturally wild pigs.

EDIT: Look up Hogzilla the program decribed how the problem is exaserbated by pigs getting into fish food / suppliments and the effect on their metabolism.

Talking about metabolism, here\'s a warning: Chocolate doesn\'t always work. Now be afraid, be Very Afraid.

No. Pigs gaining acess to and consuming Fish Food and the subsequent effect on the Porcine metabolism.

Take a trip to the states then. I know that both Oklahoma and Hawaii have no limits on wild pig. I imagine Texas would be a no-brainer on zero limits as well. Shoot \'em all you want. The more the better.

Feral hogs in Texas are considered a real problem in some areas - they are the only animal you can hunt 365 days a year day or night with dogs and spotlights -

Course with a couple I\'ve hunted we thought about calling in artillery and airstrikes.

Seriously.

@DR; Ahhh ok I see, although i\'m not entirely sure how they would actually get the fish food...

@Pegasuz & Steel; Are you shitting me?! I could eat pork till the cows came home! ...Then i\'d start on cows.
Whenever I get the chance i\'m heading out with a rifle and bagging me some chops :drool:

@TBS - I wouldn\'t shyte you -

I\'ve never run across Hogzilla but I have had a couple of close encounters with 400-500 lb pissed off hogs in the wild.

This is why god invented short barreled shotguns with a buck and ball load.
