Its official, I\'m going back

So, I got the official word yesterday, I got the job I\'ve been working on getting, which means a return to the land of sand and curried spaghetti. Best of all, I even have a rough idea where I\'m going this time, so there should be few surprises. Starting 18 July I will have limited or no access to the net - a situation which will probably not be fixed for quite a bit (IE more than 10-15 days).

Having said all that, I will try to keep in touch. However unlike the last time I went over, if anyone is interested in staying in touch via other methods, let me know now via PM or email and we\'ll work out the details.

Blimey they took their time finalising that contract are the DoD really as slow as the MoD???

Are they chucking you back into the same sand pit as last time or somewhere different???

Actually its worse - not the DoD but Civ Contractors - part of the issue was a lack of notification that they had not received paperwork until I raised hell.

As for where I\'m going it could be one of two places I\'ve been, but I\'m back among the Heathen Jarheads regardless.

Job I\'m going back to has the potential of $101k - and over there I don\'t have to deal with whiney individuals who can\'t be bothered to read a warranty.

Thats probably true, but your chances of getting shot are probably 3x or greater than in america.

Unless you are in Los Angeles, then it\'s probably a wash....lol

Who\'s in the military - I\'m a damned war profiteer.

@vike - yeah, thats a thing that is often wished for and not often accomplished.
@vike a second time - actually no - I got a better chance of getting shot in the US than I do over there.

I\'d say you\'d be missed terribly while you were gone, but we all know you never leave here, despite your geography!!
