Its Rust or Bust,

I have just started to paint vehicles using lots of rust but up to now i only no 1 technique for painting it, as it is on a large area i need to learn othere ways of paimtimg rust. The way i work at the moment is to stiple brush browns up to oranges, can anyone help and if possible tell me how to do the styles that you do, thankyou for taking time to help a painter in distress.

you can use real rust, just grind it up and glue in place.

then their is the talcom powder and pva technique.
mix up a thin water pva and talk mix and apply.
when dry nder coat the model and paint as normal.

i have pots of ground up oranges, reds and browns. dust them on with a crappy brush. use turps to adhere it. works perfectly and is really quick + effective
