Itty bitty heads, where can i find em??

Hey, i need some help, and since this forum gets looked at so often i though id ask all you guys.
What i looking for is some realy little heads for space marine conversions. Cause i like the way GW\'s codex art looks but it seems they never quite get the proportions right on their minis. It seems the marines heads are allways the size of large watermelons :flame:
So what i need are some realy tiny heads, but still human-like, not hobbit or something like that. I would prefer some from GW (so that the mini will qualify for GD\'s) but i realy dont care too much, i mainly want just good lookin conversions.

Maybe the Lord of the Rings stuff (the humans, not the hobbits ^_^), if you\'re looking to stay with GW? They\'re a slightly smaller scale, aren\'t they?

If you want to see worlds collide, maybe you can use some Rackham heads.

I dont think LOTR heads will be allowed on 40k entries for GD\'s.

The further you go back the smaller the figures, thereby the heads, of the Marines are. It might be extremely hard to find \"just the head\" of those old mini\'s since they werent supplied like today, plastic with tonnes of extra heads. Take a look at the beaky marines when they first came out for example. Could get expensive having to buy whole figures for their heads though.

I have a load of Empire plastic heads (and mordheim.....hairy head sprue!) I\'ve not used them on marines before as they seem too small,but with a bit of messing around I\'m sure they will fit as I\'ve seen others do this.Also you could try the Catachan jungle fighters,and there\'s a nice head in the Chaos Marauder box.If you want a few Empire heads to try things out with I can send you a few for free as I have a bag full spare. PM me if you\'re interested.

Or, you could try your hand at sculpting and start with a hardened ball of GS.. From what I\'ve seen, the judges adore little personilized touches like that. I mean, look at Joe Orteza!

You know, i have tried sculpting them but i can never seem to get the right facial expression. They allways look like shrivled up little pop-eye the sailor men. though i suppose if i keep trying sooner or later i just might get the hang of it.

the warhammer and wh40k miniatures vary pretty much in proportions, so you should be able to find what you\'re looking for. I wonder if the whole marine grows though.. from their super-hyper-natural gene-seed. Maybe they do have heads like melons..?
