Yeah. I am embarrassed to say that I never saw Firefly until 2010. The dungeon master from my weekend game gave me his box set. I was hooked. What is even better is my wife became a major Whovian. She didn't want to to watch Firefly. Once she saw the pilot, we watch the episodes back to back. She even cried when Wash died.
