Well I wouldn\'t trust \"The Sun\'s\" reporting accuracy for a start. lol

As for hedgehogs we get a lot in our back garden and seeing as that one\'s rolled into a protective ball we\'ve no real means of judging size. (Provided of course it\'s a picture of the one in question).

To give a size comparison the main ones (Mature Adults) that come and scoff the birds peanuts in our garden are roughly the size of a GW Baneblade (a bit taller though).

Stating 5 Pounds weight for a hedgehog isn\'t beyond the \"normal\" limits as Hedgehogs do eat a great deal this time of year prior to Hibernation. And of course this may be quite a mature individual.

Having had to pick up a mature Hedgehog out of the road a few times, (*)they aren\'t as featherweight as people expect. Plus their spines aren\'t as painful as you\'d think.

Nah the spines are fine, they have a bit of give to em, not like a porcupine. Kinda like picking up a ball covered in really rough carpet lol

Hedgehogs were one of the critters I ran across in Iraq that I did not expect to - the other being porcupines.

I wouldn\'t expect to see Hogehegs in iraq either 0.o. If I was out back then in the saudi desert and saw a Hegehog toddling towards me i\'d probably shoot it lol Just a tad suspicious to me!

I always wondered about that...There surely HAS to be the biggest predator on the face of the planet...So what hunts that?
See I would say humans probably, but if we ran into a Nile monitor or even a box jelly we\'d be all kinds of screwed! Without our guns and whatever anyway..,Can\'t say I ever tried to shoot a jelly though lol
