Hey everyone. This is my latest mini. No matter how it turns out I am going to finish it. Luckily I like how he is turning out so I do not think that will be an issue If you have any suggestions about the face or have any suggestions about color scheme please let me know. Thanks.

Also, I am going to practice using nuances with this mini so if you have any suggestions on what colors to use and where to put them let me know. I have no idea about what nuance colors should go where.

Looks nice! One tip Ritual gave me was to add a little dark red into the shading. Looks cool, and you could give that a whirl. Looks really good!

In this picture I have started the basic highlighting and shading for the fur. Starting with warm colors at the top and working towards cooler colors at the bottom. I like dramatic color changes I was thinking of making the fur panda style but I was not sure if there are pandas in Arklash or where ever confrontation takes place. Now I am going to go in and do some micro painting to pick out all of the hairs. Surprisingly enough the fur is actually fun to paint. I am going to try to make it as detailed as possible. I also painted the lower lip of the orc a turquoise color.

So here is a new picture. I have started work on the bear face and have finished the bottom 2/3\'s of the back fur. I have to finish the top part and the arm part.

I\'d suggest some quite saturated red glazes towards the shaded areas, followed perhaps by some purples and blues, just a suggestion though, looking good.

Although the legs on the mini seem a little disproportionate to the upper body, I really like what you did for the skin and the fur.

@Squig: Thanks for the input! I am going to give the glazes a whirl and hope that I do not mess up the mini lol!

@Delta: I know what you mean about the legs. Highly disproportionate but I think that is what gives some of the Rackham minis great character. For some reason I love minis that are disproportionate.

this is one of the most ridiculous minis ever, and one of my favorites...

the other arm and staff make all the difference, though...
somehow it all balances out...

i really like the face on this guy...

nice to see one of my favorite painters tackle one of my favorite minis...

I agree with Mike. If you are going to tone the lips I suggest being a bit more subtle and mix in the colours in the skin mix.

As for toning the skin. Purples are always nice with greens.

mini\'s looking great so far but i also agree on the lipstick effect...

i always add alittle red when shading orcskin, but it\'s a matter of taste i suppose.

Well I tried adding some glazes to the skin. I added purple in the corners and bright red on the chest and front abs. Glazes are not my strong point so if it needs some work please let me know.

Also I finished the fur up to the face, minus the arm. I like it! I have to do a bit of touch up work on the fur though. Certain areas are a bit sloppy. This will be my last update for a while. My next commission came in the mail so I have to knock that out before I finish this guy. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

personally, i like the original green more, but that\'s my love of comics, grafitti, and traditional tattoos comin\' through, as these are the main influences on my painting style...

the glazes look good, but he\'s gone a bit brown to my eyes...
maybe comin\' back with the last green you used on the muscles before the glazes will bring the contrast up...

what\'s the next commission???
