Japanese family crests

Does anyone know something about japanese heraldry, i.e. a site where one can look up symbols? I\'m attempting freehand but dunno what to paint? Thanx.

The Dover company makes some nice reference books for artists and craftspeople. They have one called Japanese Emblems and Design that has a lot of mon family crests.

Also you can sign up on their website to get a free weekly email linking to free samples of several books and you can print out or save the pics that are good freehand ideas.
