Jason X

For the most part I only watch sci-fi or horror movies. And when you put those two genres together I\'m in movie heaven. Movies like Jason X. I get ridiculed at work everytime I mention how great of a movie that was (for a slasher flick that is). I think they just don\'t know a good movie when they see one.

Never seen it, never want to!

Hack & slash movies are a waste of brain cells! Paint a mini instead.

I actually just watched this a couple weeks back, as part of a 5 movie \'cheese fest\' with my wife and a few friends.

Watched it mainly for Lexa Doig, who I should add to my \'dream girl\' list in that other thread, if I haven\'t already.

It didn\'t make sense, when the nano-thingamies turned Jason\'s stuff into metal. They were programmed to reconstitute organic materials.

Pure nonsensical drivel.

But Lexa looked good.

Sly Stallone\'s making Rockey VI. Seems to be a trend. If the cash keeps rolling in they will keep making them.

great film

Funniest scene...

Jason in holodeck like thing, in a forest type scene, campground with sleeping bags with these girls, and sees these 2 teens....and they say something like \"Do you want to have sex? we love premarital sex\" and they are both topless. (something like that)

Then jason looks at them almost like he\'s confused.

Next scene after it cuts back, jason is bashing a sleeping bag (with girls inside it) into a tree.....

I fell off the sofa laughing.

I don\'t think I even saw Jason 1-9....

I used to love horror flicks and monster movies, but slasher movies never quite did it for me....

That was funny, and that\'s the best part about slasher flicks. You can\'t take them seriously. I don\'t but I still watch them.

One of the funniest bad movies I ever watched was the non-animated version of \"Fist Of The North Star\" At 2am on a Saturday night, slightly stoned it was one of the funniest things I\'d ever seen. :D

Watched it mainly through my fingers. :D I just can\'t watch scary movies - they give me nightmares. Nightmares mean I beat the sh&t out of Grumb in the middle of the night. After a number of nights getting hit about the face he now reviews movies that look scary! (And I\'m really NOT joking - I usually wake up after he hits the floor trying to get away from me!) lol

EDIT: The funny thing is my sister LOVES scary movies because they\'re hilarious to her! She laughs her way through all of them. I think I was adopted!

Jason X .. awful. Pitiful SFX. Ludicrous storyline stolen from John Carpenter.

I love horror films, even cheesy B-movies.
But Jason X..

As for Freddy vs Jason vs Michael Myers..I wouldn\'t hold your breath.
Mousatpha Akkad (who owns the rights to Myers) died in the Jordanian hotel bombing several months back.
Unless his son gives his approval, the film will never happen.

I grew up watching classic sci-fi/horror films. Most of the junk released today.. can\'t hold a candle to the atmosphere created in the old Universal or Hammer flicks.

Don\'t get me wrong, not all current films suck.. Several are really quite good.

But as long as Jason vs Alien vs Superman vs Teletubbies is an option, we should all be afraid...be very afraid.

It wasn\'t a bad movie. Nothing like House of the Dead.

All bad movies should be rated by House of the Dead.

So then how does Rob Zombie\'s two movies- House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil\'s Rejects stack up?

BTW- I thought they were great too.

The Devil\'s Rejects will make a lot more sense if you watch House of 1000 Corpses because it is the sequel.

Rob Zombie does have some issues. He does make some great music though.

Easy

Jason X is a joke....but the good news if you like scary movies and liked that garbage......you\'ll love the following:

The Thing
House of 1000 corpses (much better than devils rejects, better acting, and the sex=violence which is scary instead like devils rejects which is just silly T&A)
Dawn of the Dead (best.zombie.movie.ever.)
Texas Chainsaw massacre (THE OLD ONE)
Alien (duh) and Aliens (duh) and Predator (duh)
American Werewolf in London
The lost boys + Fright night (goofy but good)
EVENT HORIZON (SCI FI + HORROR = AWESOME!!!)
Serpent and the Rainbow (pretty good)
i could list out halloween and nightmare on elm street (1 and 3) but everyone knows that.....
hmmmmm
well i cant think of anymore....
but if you like sci fi and horror go watch The Thing (john carpenter) and Event Horizion, those two are totally underrated and actually quite scary....

i hate T&A scary movies....if i want to watch porn...well...id be watching porn......
