My only issue is the base colour, why blue? She blends a bit too much with her overall blue/grey scheme.

I think the blue looks good. I have a question however, what type of base did you use for this? I like theway that the structure of the materials you used seems recessed into the base. I also like the rounded edges.

Hi. I know I suggested the blue on the base. But looking at the model now, I believe some kind of sandstone (instead of the blue-grey rock) would be more appropropriate for the model.

Looks really great as it is though.
I feel like painting the mini!

Thanks for the comments! I highly recommend painting this mini. She is very painter friendly and a joy to paint. I have not had that much fun painting a mini in a while.

@ Backstabbeth: I bought these bases from the Privateer Press online store. To me they look nicer than GW bases. They are slightly recessed which is cool because you can use small water effects without spilling. You can even cut out the middle and really go nuts.

@ Jakob and donga: I agreed with everyone in the WIP thread that said she would look good on a cooler base but after I placed her on the base I realized that she probably would have looked better on some other color. Also I am going to give your basing tutorial a go on my next mini.

Very nice work, especially on such a small figure! I\'d agree with other comments about the colour of the base, it kills the the colour of the robe. You\'d probably be better with a neutral colour - maybe sandy??
