Jen has finally updated her cmon account with lots of new minis, thought I made a heads up! I\'ve seen some of her more recent minis on ebay and have been in awe everytime.. unfortunately I haven\'t afforded one of her minis yet. :~(

Well ..what are you waiting for? Check them out! :)

I really like her style, although nothing really stands out extremely much. Everything is very subdued and tasteful! Nice to see she\'s posted some stuff so that we can easily enjoy her work! :)

Whaaat a buunch of fan boys lol

On a serious note is it nice to see Jen painting again and I still hope to see more sculpting from her again soon.

Well I must admit to a \'Soft Spot\' for Jen Haley as I owe her. It was she who pointed me at Coolminiornot a few years ago. Plus I also owe her for my addiction to Rackham figures.
The fact that she bears a resemblance to one of my neices doesn\'t hurt either.

Nice to see her painting up on here again.

I don\'t think you\'ll ever see Vaitalla up for sale. The description on the entry explains that the sculpt was commissioned and painted as a gift to a friend. I was present when the gifts were given, and the recipient was moved to tears. It was a pretty touching moment just to witness actually! So I can\'t see Anne ever selling any of the dwarves that were painted in her honour.

Which is very good news for my wallet.
It wouldn\'t be able to stand the strain of Ebay for one of those little beauties.
(Poor things in serious therapy at the moment).

That summed it up for me. I used to think she was the best, but now she\'s just one of scores of painters who can paint 9+. It\'s strange, but absence hasn\'t made the heart fonder for me. Whilst all brilliantly painted, the style is so familiar now that I barely register the quality of it as I\'ve seen it all before. It\'s an indicator of how far things have moved in the last few years.

That\'s why I put the if in there. I\'m not expecting it to come up.

But, were I given the chance to have a dwarven female, sculpted by Werner Klocke and painted by her, my billfold would more or less be open to whatever. It\'s a shame she\'s not accepting commissions.

I really enjoy seeing her work... not a fanboy in the classic sense but as with a few of the very top painters she does have a style that is only her own. You can pretty much always tell a \"Hayley mini\" instantly when you see it.

I am lucky enough to have won this mini on ebay:

It\'s much better in the flesh than the pic illustrates... I always check her ebay items for sale and will gladly pay for such well painted minis.

I can well understand the desire not to take commissions though, once you have built such a good name as a painter (rightly so) why would you want the pressure of pleasing all these people who may not have a good idea of what they\'re after when you can just paint and sell on ebay?

Anyway... those are my thoughts... if you read this Ms Haley and fancy doing some commission work :innocent:

hehehe
