I painted this miniature (sculpted by Gael Goumon) for Crunch-Waffle. It was a really fun sculpt to paint and I\'m quite pleased with how it came out!

What can I say? this made me go \"whoa nice\".. I really like the work on the black parts of the wings. Very subtle. Great NMM too...

10 from me.

Sweet as, I\'m personally not too keen on your colour choices, but your technique\'s outstanding, especially the flesh tones.

superb mini and color choice.

You are beginning to bore me with your fantastic stuff! Do something mediocre for a change.

Wow! I really love the whole effect, but especially the subtle free hand on the shield and the NMM blades.

A standard to aspire to aspire to lol

Oh, and brush-licking was instrumental in getting this result! :p

Have to agree with everything that\'s been said so far. A beautiful piece! Or should I say: Yet ANOTHER beautiful piece! Of course, as stated in the \"ratings\" thread over in \"General Discussion\", I was forced to give you a 1 just to keep your head from swelling ;):D

Thanks for the TMP link! I am always amazed when I read discussions on TMP how differently (some) people over there think about miniatures than we do here. :)

You amaze me every time! Wish I could see you in action...

and also I really would like to a close up of the face, is that possible? and what colors on the wings - pinkish, fleshy kind of something

this is what I calll a 10.

I used two mixes of paint for the main part of the wings. One mix contained Dark Flesh and VMC Azure, 4:1 or so. The other contained Elf Flesh and VMC Pale Greyblue (very close to Ghostly Grey), also about 4:1. The base coat was a mix of these and then I used the darker mix for shading and the lighter mix for highlighting. I then used VMC Cadmium Maroon for darker shadows and VMC Light Flesh for further highlights.

Finally I applied a few glazes of different colours (can\'t remember which, but a few blues and a few reds and possibly a green too...) in VERY thin layers. You shouldn\'t really see any of those colours only make very slight shifts in the original colours.

Hope this helps! :)
