Nice job Matty just about to start mine and I\'m ditching the base too....

couple of things That I feel would really lift this are..
1.. darken down the nails a bit... maybe a bit of lining in there to give an older dirtier look.
2 a Few more lighter highlights on the muscle shapes to just define the sahape a touch more...I can imagine it has lost a touch due the colour and piccie wise not easy..but still feel that some of those upper curves could benefit from some work....
3.. In the same vain to just break up the red a touch some light glazes in the deepest shadows using Dark Angels or scaly Green ..(very thin) will just add a little more depth to the shadows..

I rarely ever say this, as my photos are usually pretty spot on, but this looks much better IRL.
I\'v tried again today with daylight helping for better pics, but it\'s just not happening. The reds are just flat on here. They go from black, right up to fiery orange with lots of purples in the shading for definition, but unfortunately it just isn\'t showing much.
And the nails are overexposed, they blend from brown to white.

The green is a good idea, but I havn\'t got the time to do anymore, I really need to crack on with my Salute entry.

Not sure why I changed the base! Just fancied something different. lol

It looks good from what I can tell Matty. I think your photo is really gonna hurt its score ( whats new ) though. It looks quite flat and lacking any depth or luminance.

I would suggest you up the highlights and contrast but as you mentioned it already has this.

Keep up the great work.

my first impression of this mini was that i really wish i could see it in real life, as your paintin\' has improved so much in the last year, and this pic is doin\' ya no justice...
my second impression was, where the hell is the f\'in awesome base that he comes with...
mine will definitely be sittin on the rock that he comes with, \'cause well, it rocks!!!

i bought myself this guy and the daemonette right after ya posted a review on your site...very nice minis...now the daemon is 10 euro more expensive, and the daemonette is gone:evil:...i got in on \'em just in time...

look forward to seein\' ya paint up the lady...

always quality stuff though, so no complaints there...

one question...how did ya put this guy together before paintin\'??? did ya put him all togther first, or tackle him in seperate parts...on my test run, the arm that sits on the ground seems like it will make the parts of his chest and thigh hard to reach...

Pinned the entire thing together and filled the gaps. I airbrushed most of the skin, so not getting in under there wasn\'t really a huge problem, I just left it really dark, and brushed a few purple glazes in.

I must say Matty you\'ve come a long way these past (2?) years I\'ve seen you post here. I\'m gonna hold critique on this one as I think you\'ve surpassed my skill now (not that ever stops me normally).

Cheers MPJ It\'ll be 2 years in July since I started painting.

Took some more pics, went back to basic\'s on white background. Tried blue cloudy, blue fade, solid blue and now solid white, and these are probably the closest. Still had to do loads of mucking about in Aperture with the levels sliders though.

A little better I feel, but still not the best.

I like it more on the white background. The blue conflicts with the red.

Nice work btw! Just a bit more contrast on it for me. I\'m missing the last glares on the skin. But red\'s a bitch.

Yea it\'s annoying, relisted it (starts tomorrow evening) but had to stick it on 3 day as I really need it to end Sunday.
