i waas looking on matty1001\'s website and i found aa review about this. i then went on to the JMD Miniatures site and it was not there.

two questions:

1. Wheres it gone?

2. and if it has gone, where can i get one?

please can you try and answer these, as it is such a cool mini.:D

GW legal found out about it and it has been taken down from the site.
Apparently they will be a different version out in the future, with enough changes to differentiate it enough from GW\'s IP.

Arcane miniatures may have some in stock, but I\'v heard a lot of negative feedback for Arcane\'s service.
(EDIT, scratch that, they haven\'t)

I should put a note up on my review actually.

Frick, is anyone able to stand up against these bullies?

Real IP infringement is one thing, but squashing stuff because it is similar in nature is ludicrous.

GW SUCKS! I\'m glad I\'ve stopped buying from the bastiches.

Jeebus, I think they spend more on Legal hounds than they do actual artists/ games designers. I hope they choke on thier own bile.

i can believe that i\'m about to side with gw on this, but allan c did enter the sculpt in a golden demon comp, and won...so it\'s hard to say that this chick doesn\'t infringe on gw\'s ip...
that said, i\'ve got mine, so i\'m laughin\':twisted:...

I think you will find that he entered it after GW made them stop selling it therefore making it elidgable to be entered into the GD.

yeah, but the first version he did is not much different from the one that was for sale, and it was entered last year, before the sculpt was bein\' sold...
all i\'m sayin\' is that this mini wasn\'t exactly flyin\' under the radar, so it shouldn\'t come as a suprise that it got shot down...
it\'s a beautiful piece of work, and a shame that it\'s not available anymore, but it was just a matter of time before gw jumped all over this chick...especially with the new daemonettes about to be released...

As far as I know, there\'s a clause in GD\'s rules which states that when you enter a GD with a creation, it\'s IP became property of GW...

they have so many lawyers standing around tapping there fingers that they have o do something to make it look like they are worth the money.its sadthat you cant even buy their product with your money and convert it a little without them jumping up and down.

It only relates to the use of the image for promotional purposes etc...it just means they can use the picture if they wish without crediting the artist each and every time it\'s used....
Models have to fit within the ip to be entered anyway.. That said a few times particularly good conversions have been nabbed as design elements further down the line...

Matty reall bummer that that came up as key name spamming .. especially seeing as you ain\'t done nothing wrong .. any model can be used in warhammer just not in GW tournaments...so mentioning that it can be used isn\'t an infringement on anything at all...I\'ve had some strange onesfrom ebay.. recently had a load of listings stopped because I had my email on there....strange thing is had it on for 3 years and only recently there was a problem.. also got a load of bumf about a recent mini and wether the animal skins were original or fake.. I just answered back....errrr...painted?????

Bullies? And what did You expect? That model is an infringement of their IP and we all know it. Though its sad that they put it down couse it was a very nice sculpt, but honestly what would You expect? That they will sit on their butts watching as someone is taking money of their asses?They are a money making company for god sake. I can bet that most of the people in GW desing studio wouldnt really mind some chap making a bit of $$ out of a model that was sculpted with passion a and skill using the background of their worlds(remember copying is the most honest form of flattery:) ) but unfortunately the guys at the legal department would surely do.
