Hey all.. I just finished this very, very cool limited edition mini from GW.
Here he is: http://www.coolminiornot.com/74237

Hope you like him, \'cause I really love how he came out. I maybe could\'ve done a bit better, but I was on a deadline for a local competition.. got a 2nd place for him in the larger mini category(yeah, a dwarf in large mini.. some people thought that was funny :D ) Pretty pleased about the pics and especially the freehand wood grain.. considering it was done at 3am the night before :D

I\'d very much appreciate comments or criticism :)

BTW the pics are quite grainy.. had to lower the quality so much so it would reach 100kbs :( Could\'ve maybe just had the face and barrels as an insert but I was too lazy.

yay!

Very nice! I love that mini, and periodically browse on E-bay to see if I can ever find it (i never can!!).

I really like the red nose you have given him, I can almost hear the drunken dwarves whooping and hollering!lol

Nice work indeed!
Things i like a lot : the red nose, the wood barrels, the bronze/copper metallics and the horns on the elm.
Thinks i don\'t like so much: the beard, the scalemail.
The other stuff is solid work.

nice job

I like what you have done with this mini. However, I think you could stand to thin out your metallics a good bit. The barrels look quite nice, as does the nose. I don\'t really see anything wrong with the beard, though I do think of Bugman as being a graybeard.

And now to be a fuddy duddy: I have to say that I like the original sculpt of Bugman better. GW has taken a turn, in my opinion, towards more \"realistic\" sculpts, and they\'ve lost a lot of character in the process. The dwarf line seems to have taken the hardest hit. The older dwarfs, especially the thunderers, are just superior. Bugman is also a good example. This is a fine sculpt, but I am partial to the original.

Incedentally, is the model standard GW scale?

Yes it is and the Dwarf can be removed from the barrels and used in Warhammer, I think that rules for him were published in an issue of White Dwarf.
