These guys kicked some serious butt.

I have some pics and terrible video clips of the Calgary show up on the ZaphBlog.

Priest Concert Coverage

Anthrax played nearly an hour as well, and sounded awesome.

Still kicking, aren\'t they?

I saw Priest a looong time ago in Iowa at a rock festival. They kicked all the other bands butt.

A bit hard to hear that rumbling bass on the audio. Especially with the guy who kept yelling \"WHOOOOOO\"lollol Wasn\'t you was it?

Also, I don\'t think I\'ve ever been to a concert that had seating up front. Of course, I haven\'t been to a concert since Queensryche back in the late eighties...Usually it was just a mob of people standing up front...

Thanks for the coverage though...pretty cool to see these guys are still rocking.

Yeah still rocking like the Metal Gods they truly are. The vid sound is brutal because I just have a puny little built in mic on my digital camera.
I was surprised that everyone on the floor didn\'t push right up actually.

Saw Priest back on the Painkiller tour, Megadeth opened. NOBODY can belt it out like Halford.

I did find it funny though that he would strike these heroic poses and the whole heavy metal tough guy thing and his arms were about the size of my sisters. Kinda scrawny with a Wagner - esque vibe to him.

speaking of \'odd\' heroic poses of 80\'s metal...

Does anyone remember the German(?) band call \"Accept\" they sang the song \"Balls to the Wall\".

Anyhow, I always got a bit of a chuckle from their lead man. All the other guys were lanky long haired studded metal dudes, but this guy was a chubby, cropped top-short guy decked in complete camoflauge....

He could belt out the vocals though...lol

Priest have always been the no.1 metal band in thew world ever, I\'ve seen them dozens of times over the years including Donnington. I also saw Halford on his Ressurection tour and that was phenominal in fact it was a statement to the rest of Priest that he was back. Accept were a fantastic band I have all there albums and also all the albums released by UDO after the split.

Udo Dirks-whatever. Now there was a \'cool mini\'. Am told the phrase - balls to the wall originated in WW1 when the throttle lever had a ball on the top. When advancing to full power it was pushed forward to the front firewall, thus - balls to the wall. But when looking at the photo on the front of the CD, somehow Sopwith Camels dont come to mind.
