July - "Gods and Monsters" Contest

Yes kids,.. it's that time again. (I meant to toss this one out in June, but this is my busy season at work,.. so July it is!!)

This time out I want "Gods and Monsters"!!! I want Minotaurs,.. I want Hydras,.. I want Zeus hurling lightning bolts down upon the unwashed masses. But don't feel trapped by Greek and/or Roman mythologies. If you have a cool model of some other God/Monster (Anubis from Egyptian mythology for example) then by all means, submit it!!!




You guy's know the rules,.. so just start a list of names, and come July 1st,.. let the games begin!!! (if any of you are new to this, then feel free to ask. I (or one of the other regulars) will be happy to fill you in.)

Would someone please remind me of the rules, please? I might get something done, but first, I have to get back into the swing of things and fix up the Eavier Metal contest on Facebook.

The long and short,... Model must be started no sooner then July 1st, and completed no later then July 31st. Any model, from any manufacturer is welcome, as long as it fits the given criteria in some way, shape, or form. (we're usually pretty loose with the interpretation of the criteria). Once the contest is over, I'll post a poll so people can vote on their favorites (multiple polls may be needed if the participant count is high). The rules for voting,.. you can vote for anyone you want,.. except yourself. Why? Because voting for yourself in a competition is not only poor sportsmanship,.. it's just plain tacky. Other then that, just about anything goes. WIP's are highly encouraged so we can see your progress, and also so we can all help each other out, including asking for help and pointers on techniques, and just plain general levels of smack-talk.

Arrgh, I'm going to start on a monster today!

But, I got plenty more, I really like monsters. So sign me up. :)

We're pretty loose with rules interpretations, so if you can even half-justify it as a "god" or a "monster"??? then yes,.. it's allowed

that's ok maxx,.. even if you miss this one, there will be another anime contest in October. (so you might want to start looking for a model now and/or saving your pennies if necessary)
