This one was like a sleeper hit for me. Sure you are a great painter, but every time i thought i knew where you were going with this one you did something even better than what i was expecting. Pretty inspirational and a great take on forced perspective and how to look at a mini differently.

I'm sorry John but I really don't like it.

Forced perspective, while a good concept relies on a single point of view and pictures don't always make it work. Plus there are several things on there which I think are detracting.
While I normally think that your painting is a really higher quality than mine, this one just doesn't do it for me.

I really like the idea of mixing scales for the perspective, but the picture taking is almost impossible and doesn't sell the concept really well, while the WIP was doing it. It looks really awkward on the picture, maybe much better in real life.
Then for the painting, I have to agree with DR. It seems to be that you were quite in a rush, like if you wanted to finish within the day. The plane enclosure is quite flat and the skin of Talullah too...

But still I really like the concept and would love to see it in real life... is it possible to post in this thread a global picture without any special point if view?

I appreciate your feedback, on this occasion even if I don't agree with every comment. I guess this a case of love or hate it, but at least it's different! Personally I like it from the experiment point of view, and in my opinion the pj on the girl is solid apart from (probably most importantly) the face which needs slightly more definition. But everyone has an opinion and that's why it's here.
