Nice model to paint IMO!

The lamp seems to be off to a good start, but I can\'t see how the metals are due to the glare of the lamp behind the camera when you took the picture. However, I can see one bit, so if it is like that then that\'s great!

However, the face needs addressing. The surface of the skin seems littered with bobbly bits - is your paint thin enough? Or was the model not cleaned up beforehand?

Not meaning to put a dampener on things, I think its coming along nicely! I like the skin tone, not garish minty green like the eavy metal ones!

Cheers,
Tom

@*Edit* Orkboy, well what you say about blobby bits, well the head was miscast. You can see the lower part of the big lense? that wasn\'t there I had to sculpt it back. this was my first attempt at blending and glazingand it left the metal slightly shiny wich is why it is hard to see. Must clean out the pink round his nostrils, it looks like he\'s a drug addict.

Well, here is an update ready or not. I do hope this is not threadomancy but I didn\'t want to start a new thread. In this update we see
a)dwarf sculpt

b)updated mekboy head

c) mek boy backpack and

d) HF\'s Bela

A)

This dwarf was sculpted just for fun but I think that I may have him cast if there is any interest from people in buying him. Yes the shield is rather thick, that can be fixed, I also needto clean up his left hand area.

B)
head1.jpg

I smoothed him out a bit, shaded and highlighted the metal a bit more, will try to get a better picture of the lenses.

C)

I\'m quite proud of this especially the skull, I followed Joseph Wiltshire\'s metal tutorial and I think it came out quite nicely. The skull was codex gray washed with 30%black, 5% sorched brown and highlighted with codex gray + increasing amounts of white. The brown is not nearly as shiny irl.

D) Bela

This is my first HF mini and my god he\'s tiny. I am going with dark tones, to offsetthenow basehe will recieve, note theonly finished bits are his trousers and skin. Irl thereismore smooth contrast.

nice work. it looks really good.. the orc big mek is a really nice model too! if it is a lamp you could develop it a bit further by adding some light effects on it :) it really isn\'t that hard and it gives you an oportunity to develop your painting skills :) I like the dwarf. it gives me a warm feeling.. I don\'t know why, but it does..

keep it up!

Both the skintones are great! I really like the natural tones you\'ve used.

The ork eye is amazing, good job on that!

The sculpt looks good too, you just need to clean up some areas. At the mo he lloks like he is wearing slippers - is that what you intended? Also his eyes look a little deep, you need to fill them in a bit more. Other than that a thumbs up from me!

Cheers,
Tom

Thank you all,for your comments, The dwarf evoces a special feeling with me aswell maybe its the 4-5 ed feeling. But the question still remains Would you buy it. Eveything looks smoother irl because of coursethe are picture of VERY small things and therefore needs a picture that shows the details, and flaws.Thank you for taking time o critique these WIPs.
