There\'s a bunch of us at work who go out for lunch on Fridays, and we didn\'t know where to go, so we thought we\'d let you decide.

Well, I\'m too late for this, but I\'d definitely have gone with the Mugg & Bean there. Towers of lemon meringue and bottomless cups of coffee... one can\'t go wrong.

So feedback time. Curry was voted for and curry was had. Curry was good, but service was bad.

Currys always good, but i voted for nandos, firstly because it\'s the only one of those places i\'ve been to, but mainly because it is actualy brilliant food and great for social gatherings, i always walk out of there feeling satisfied

Nando\'s; the food is excellent when it\'s done properly. I\'ve never had such shoddy service as what I\'ve had from Nando\'s.

As for bunny chow; I have no idea how it got that name. I expect it is of Indian origin, or at least South African-Indian origin. I won\'t steal Hoblit\'s thunder by describing it, but it\'s a hell of a filling meal. Always leaves me feeling stuffed to popping.

Fond memories of two beautiful sisters and I sitting at a table at the Mugg & Bean, trying to work our way through a single piece of lemon meringue... we ended up looking at each other in despair and laughing more than looking at the unfinished lemon meringue.

I\'ve heard of curries, but have never had them (or even seen them on a menu!)

Curry\'s really a spice, as much as anything. Largely used in India for the preservation of meat, or for hiding the fact that meat\'s gone bad.

It\'s a fairly potent spice that some people find too hot for their tastes.

You can get curry sauces in most grocery stores. Cook up some chicken (or beef), add veggies, add sauce, serve on a bed of rice, or as shown in the pictures above, with bread, and you have a tasty treat.

you have to be kidding me!! get out there have one. go for something hot and put the toilet paper in the fridge and wait for nature to take it\'s course. you\'ll have an arse like the japaneese flag but it\'ll be worth it. trust me...


@hoblit. i notice in none of those pix does it look like you have any intent on eating that. looks kinda funky. was it any good, or do you hate us all now?

I reckon Hoblit was looking at that bunny chow, wondering how to get himself around it. That\'s a mountain of curry there.

@supervike: I find it incredulous that you don\'t know what curry is! Well, the curry powder is a mix of many different spices; ginger, cumin, paprika, turmeric and cayenne pepper, amongst other stuff. I often mix just ginger, turmeric and cumin together to make a mild Thai curry, but Indian curries tend to have lots of chilli powder (cayenne pepper) in them, with potential for causing 2nd degree burns on the curry\'s passage through the digestive tract.

I whenever i hear of folks eating a \'curry\' I wasn\'t sure that of what they were saying. Thanks for clearing it up for me! I love spicy food. I\'m off to the Twin Cities tommorow, and they have a large diversity in their population. I promise to find a curry!!
