Drink driving is something that really makes me angry.
I just cannot comprehend why someone would do it.

Never got to meet my Grandmother, as she was killed by a drunk driver. Almost killed my mom (then 8) too...

Firstly, I am not in favour of drink-driving, just to be clear.
However, contrary to what the thought police would have you believe, it is not genocide. It does not mean the death of a small child or elderly couple every time a driver has a few drinks. The vast majority of drink-drivers never harm a single person, and the over-whelming cause of road death is bad driving or stupidity etc etc.
This makes it look like I condone drink-driving. I do not - I just don\'t like the propaganda that anyone who does it is some sort of despicable, wretched lunatic (I know you didn\'t say that, but many impressionable people take this view, due to the government brainwashing that has admittedly saved many lives).

Driving drunk is all about confidence and paying attention. Once you lose confidence your screwed.
Given all this, how is it that one bloke at work actually told me that drinking makes people drive more carefully? ??? Oh yes, it does make one more careful, about 3 seconds too late.Originally posted by Dragonsreach
Alcohol impares Judgement, Co-ordination, Reaction time and diminishes visual acuity. All things needed for handling a moving vehicle weighing in at around a ton.
Wow! Do your lot also turn a 2-lane road into 5 lanes?Originally posted by Itchy
