Welcome to my CMON blog!

When I first got into the hobby, I frequented CMON quite a bit. I found it a great source of inspiration for color schemes and painting techniques.

At the time, I worked at a local gaming shop. It was great fun, and it provided me a lot of time to sit around and work on my modeling. Unfortunately, I had to leave the store (a college job) and move on to the real world almost two years ago.

In the interim, I pretty much gave up on Warhammer, although I still had my collection of minis (some waiting to be assembled and painted) sitting around the apartment.

When I moved into my new house in October, I thought it was time to break out the painting supplies and get back to work. The store that I used to work at is hosting a small fantasy league in January, so my goal is to assemble and prime a Chaos army for that league - and get it painted by the time summer rolls around.

We'll see how that works out.

What Will Be on This Blog?

This is not my first, nor is it my only blog. Therefore it's unlikely that'll I'll be posting here on a daily basis.

As I envision it, this will be a place to announce when I submit new images to CMON, reflect on the painting process, and maybe write up some painting/modeling tutorials.

I do write about gaming topics on my main blog - Nerds at Play - so there will be a decent amount of cross-referencing. The amount of space available here is pretty limited (20mb? Come on), so for the most part I'll just be writing about things here, and I'll refer you to my main gaming blog or to my CMON submissions for more in depth pictures.

So welcome, subscribe to the feed, and check back every now and again to see what I've finished painting lately.

Don't hesitate to comment about the paint jobs, just please try to be constructive. A little bit of help goes a long way!
