Here\'s my origin:
My name come form an album called \"Karma\" by Delerium. \"Duende\" is the second track on it and it really caught my attention because at first it sound like a very pretty song, but as you listen, the lyrics are dark and twisted.
Here\'s a sample:
\"Bleak desolation, in a beam of sun,
Like an angel you\'ll come, in a dream blessed one,
Make me joyfully numb,
Razor fingers cling, Piercing demons sing,
Twisting hollow hell, Burning blisters swell,
Sharp-cut aching breath, Choking scent of death,
Gruelling jaw-bone grind, Cursed by my own mind...\"
I was intrigued by this unusual song so I looked up \"duende\" in a online Spanish to English and found this definition:
duende[Noun]:
daemon
duende, trasgo:
goblin
de duende, de elfo, mágico:
elfin
duende, trasgo, hada:
sprite
duende[Noun] :
elf
In another dictionary site, I also got \"ghost\" as well. All in all, I thought it was a good name to use here.
And as a P.S. - the song was written and sung by Camille Henderson who was the main backup singer on Sarah McLachlan\'s earlier albums.
