Feeling pretty ill after painting for three days solid! But I just wanted to get a nice model done! I have loads of thoughts on this piece but I\'d love to know what you fellows think before I write any more :)

Edit: Sorry for any problems with the link, I edited the photo a couple of times because the colours didn\'t come through very well on the original.
Edit: make that a lot of times! I\'ve added extra highlights to the metals to give them some depth, (only the larger photo has been updated however) sorry for the reposts!

It worked for me before, the Ultramarine captain fella right?

If so the blues and flesh were great, but the metallics looked flatter and had very little highlighting.

You should try NMM lol

Some guy in China played 3 days straight and dropped dead. Guess he need a few more points to get to that final level.

Talk about getting to the final level lol.

beautifully done mini....the blues work well for it and the face tonally is good.. however the gold seems to crisp and the same. i would have highlighted up with some mithril silver or skull white mixed into the gold and done a few progressive glazes. the pattern is done well on the cape as well. keep up the good work.

Nice work maybe a little black and purple glazing in to provide a little more dimension to the metalics would help.. Although photographing metallics is harder than painting the buggers they still seem a little flat.. good solid painting all round though and the freehand is just right..
nice one.

and Matty that\'s just naughty....

Very nice work, I dont think the metals are don bad, just not to the same standard as the rest of the mini, so they pull the whole thing down a bit.

The tips already given here should sort these out, glazes and mithril silver highlights.

Nice work!
