I missed the extras after the credits, too. Somebody please pm me!
I also have a \'pirated\' copy, and unfortunately the guy filming it left before the credits ended (unless you guys are talking about that part that is actually the beginning of the NEXT movie).

The 40\' women blew it for me as well. Bringing a goddess into it was a little too over-the-top.

Also, my 16 year old had a point - who cares if a character dies when you can bring them back?

And another thing, why is Davey Jones\' Locker full of Dirt, when it was established that he HATES dirt? ???

Or is a desert the pirate version of Hell?

You KNOW they were lookin\' up her skirt...

I know I would. :p

P.S. - I think the crabs were a manifestation of Calypso - she turned into them later on. Hence them helping Jack, and her knowing that they were coming.

Elizabeth Swan was a lot more sexual in this last one, and that\'s just not cool when there\'s a lot of young kids in the theater.

Yes, because we wouldn\'t want the little kiddies having a sexy woman get in the way of all that wholesome stealing, killing, and skeletons walking around, would we?

Someone getting stabbed in the chest is fine, but god forbid that the little ones get to see a bare female breast or something else so horrific.

I thought the 3rd Pirates really stunk... It was one of the few movies I have had the urge to walk out on. The plot just got too mixed up, and half the time I couldnt understand any of the dialogue. Ayyyyyye matey grumble grumble Jack Sparrow arrrrrrrggg!
I really didnt think the funny parts were all that funny, but I have to say, I couldnt help but laugh at the giant Calypso scene... it was just sooo stupid!
It seems to me that this movie pulled a Matrix Revolutions on a lower level... the first one was good, the second one had a bunch of plot stuff and setup a possible great third one, but then when you go see the third one you are just let down and it just makes you wish you hadnt seen 2 or 3 altogether~

ok....

Spoilers below.... (I will mention what is at the end of the credits and the 2 aspects I think were missing and people/fans complained about).

(scroll down)

End of credits - swan is at the same island waiting...10 years later, but she has a 10 year old son!!!! Then on the horizon, a flash of light appears, and you see orlando bloom on a boat coming back to meet her, staring at the island from the distance....

2 major complaints:

1) killing kraken off screen...kraken was cool!!! they should not have killed it and just showed the body...at least show us teh fight against it or use it with meaning in the finale!!!!

2) battle of endor syndrome...or in this case lack off....
the finale had 100s of ships on both sides..ready for war BUT then it turned out to be a symbolic battle....where only the flagships from each side enter combat...

nice I guess, BUT let\'s face it..for summer fun movie/special effect blockbuster junkies...they could still do the main fight as they did it, but having 100s of other ships engaging each other at pt blank range would have been truly spectacular...

let\'s face it..the battle of endor in Return of the Jedi is still the largest overal battle ever in film that I know off (yes, even larger scale than Return of the King\'s battle) as it involves a space station 160 km in diamater, the super star destroyer at 8 miles long, and 20 or so star destroyers (1 mile long each) and 100s of fighters.... yes, not a true historic battle but who cares...still the \'battle to beat\' so to speak. Pirates 3 had potential for that time of finale, but it never reached that high arching climax....

I can\'t think of another film with that large scale of a war....

Anyways...those are the pts I find most fantasy/sci fi fans complaining about.

Again, the story i don\'t find confusing, as it makes sense what they are doing, but with so many characters, you have to pay attention.

But, if you have ever seen how messed up my D&D party is (the one I DM)....you will understand why pirates 3 is a piece of cake :)

I\'m not sure where you get this from, yes she showed a little leg a couple times but thats about it..no more than the first movie in my opinion.

As for the theater full of kiddies..it is a PG-13 movie so it really shouldnt be full of kiddies..at least under the age of 13. Yes I know many parents will bring their young children to see the film but by all means its not meant for them. I don\'t want my entertainment value shortened because someone bring a child to a movie ment for older teens or adults. If I want to see a rated G movie..I will go see one.

Speaking of parents letting their children watch things they shouldnt, the other day Im in Blockbuster and a couple with young children are looking at Pans Labrynth and the father goes oh look I bet the kids will love this.. I explained that it was not meant for children and was very graphic .. he sort of looked at me with glazed over eyes.. then I said its in Spanish and its subtitled..to which he answered you mean you have to read.. and quickly put it back on the shelf and walked away

Violence and horror ok... reading very very bad

Exactly. Jack says, several times how much he loves the sea. In fact the reason he wants to replace Davy Jones is so he can sail the seas forever. So a desert is Jack Sparrow\'s hell.

Wierd that...it took quite a bit of convincing to get a couple of mates to watch Pan\'s labyrinth, and Diva, and countless other foreign films.

Yup, I picked up letters from Iwo Jima tonight.. as I was renting it the guy behind the counter goes.. Its in Japanese you know.. its got subtitles.. I was like so..I can read.. he was like we have to tell people..company policy..and then told me better than 50% of the people he tells it to put the movie back. When I saw Pans Labrynth in the theater..people got up and walked out when they discoverd it was subtitled.. most swearing and saying things like this sucks.. its in Damn Mexican...

Yes I live in Red Neck land..

Sympathy

DFD you poor thing. :(

That\'s the way life seems to be going these days. people get desensitised to all the violence these days. sexual things seem to be taboo right now. i wonder at times when that will become normal?

The world is going to hell ladies and gents, lets hope we can get out before it happens.
