Just out of general curiousity, how often to you paint?

I\'m in the every 6 months or so with \'Vike.

I\'m a binge painter. I won\'t even look at my painting table for months, then something will inspire me and I will sit down every night with all free time I have (which isn\'t much working OT and having a 10 month old) until that mini is finished. Sometimes I will do a set of 3 or so, but then I get distracted by other things and don\'t go back to painting for another 4-6 months. What I have found has help me actually paint is the Mini Exchange, though due to the baby I\'m even behind two minis on that.

I\'m in the 4-6 hours a week camp. That\'s spread over the entire week. It goes up in the winter though. Summer in AK is tough to justify spending indoors.

In some ways, I long for those ol\' single days when responsibilities were few and I could start painting at 6pm and finally stand up to unkink my back at 3am.

On the other hand... hard to argue with a wonderful two-year old, an awesome wife, and a comfortable (though chore-filled) home.

Now... if only I could get someone to \'deal with\' my dogs. Life could be grand.

I wish I had more time to paint, but I\'d also be content with a single, longer block of time once a week. An hour or so at a stretch is just tough.

get the dogs trained to do the chores, then thats three problems solved at once, dogs dealt with, chores done = more painting time

I haven\'t painted a mini in over 2 1/2 years!

I used to try to complete a mini every couple of months, but then I started having kids ...
Don\'t say things like that, I am scared enough of having kids as it is :(

Just got back into painting and managed to shape up my skills decently with two break in minis, doing a bit every night now on my proper one.

So is/was every parent I\'ve ever known.
So what, if you don\'t know what to do or expect, it\'s not like they come with an instruction manual.
I expect that you\'ll do fine, when the time comes.

I try to paint at least 5 days out of the week. Sometimes it\'s less and most often I do something painting related each day of the week. Even if it\'s for an hour in the evening I sit down to do something.
